"Young people today don't have the opportunity to play games from 10 years ago..." - uhm, yeah, they do...especially when it comes to Nintendo games...wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
That said, he 's not wrong - if remake is done properly (meaning respecting original vision), game from quite a while ago will not only get modern visuals, but some of the QoL enhancements and gameplay tweaks that original might've needed, which can make remake enticing for both old fans and newcomers, with potential to bring new entries into franchise down the line.
