As someone who does care a great deal about books, films, and music: the thing is technological revolutions have actually helped all these libraries. The printing press, book publishers, and now Ebooks provide almost everything. Not just almost everything, but you can find like 170 different editions of a classic book at your finger tips, often for free if they're in the public domain.

I'm old enough to recall when films and music were very difficult to get; like I'd be hunting down certain collections through half my damn teen years, getting them in completely different countries. But when iTunes came out, it was a trivial thing to get anything and everything I wanted, and I'd never have to worry about losing an album, having it damaged or degraded because it's now on every storefront.

Same deal with film. If it's a film that is backed up in a copyright dispute like Dogma or Dawn of the Dead, you can get several different versions on YouTube... and Harvey Weinstein and the Romero Estate have their reasons for not wanting to (or being able to) take these down... and I mean the real Dawn of the Dead film, with the political commentary, human condition exploration, and satire... not the Sarah Polly action remake....

......I mean, the Sara Polly film is good in its own right. I enjoyed it for what it was,  but this remake strips out everything important and interesting about the original one and replaces it with an action adventure... I'll stop here before I get on a rant. I'll just end by saying, Sarah Polly remake is a good action zombie film, but the original Dawn of the Dead by Romero is one of my all-time favourite horror films.
