Nobody is forced to boycott what they don't want to. Neither your gf nor anyone wanting any game are doing anything wrong, Sony is.
That being said, them shadow dropping those at 50% for PS Plus subscribers is clearly a move to test people, they have very hardly if ever done something like that.
