I didn't know that either! All of the footage I've ever seen of the game is in first person, and I feel like I'd enjoy it more in third person. I've come so close to just splurging on trying Skyrim so many times, but ultimately get cold feet because the standard combat looks so clunky and off-putting to me... and I'll go ahead and admit that the idea of fighting giant spiders and dragons in a FPV is a little scary too, lol.
The biggest thing that throws me off is that there doesn't seem to be any hit-stun on enemies when your attacks land. I can live with a "stick and move", "hit and run" or circle strafe sort of gameplay loop, but I'd still find it more enjoyable if enemies gave some sort of visual feedback when attacked.
