It has already generated more attention than the first GTA VI announcement on twitter, many companies not even related to gaming at taking jabs at Sony, it is already something huge, IMO even bigger than the XBO DRM plans reveal, I don't think simply waiting quietly is going to work out for them, yeah.
They'll have to double down or backtracked soon enough, and if they double down it's getting worse.
I don't think even the massive PSN hack was as bad for Playstation image as that announcement 5 days ago. Their image is on a all time low as far as I can see.
