This is a conspiracy though. The industry didn't kill DVDs/Blueray/CDs... Consumers did. No one buys music any more because the abundance of streaming is easier and more flexible. When iTunes dropped people stopped buying CDs. When Spotify dropped people stopped buying digital music and instead streamed it.
A lot of these things are singularities because human behaviour typically leans in the direction of convenience & abundance.
I think People really ought to focus attention on digital rights management/regulation etc instead of hoping they die or shouting into a cloud.
I do think there is hope in that physical things become novel again (see Vinyl) etc

Mentions Western values being tested to the breaking point and making sure democratic checks and balances are not forgotten.
There's still about a quarter to a fifth of the software market being purchased physically. That's a sizable minority. The correct path here is screw the minority and force them to comply or leave them behind? Screw making as many lives better and happier as possible and instead milk the wealthy for higher profits by offering less value and less freedom?
I could go on and on. It's clear what's happening and it's not all just by coincidence.

Dude if the best way to follow the conversation is "yeah but they are going to take everything you own anyway" then there's no point in having the conversation to begin with lol.
This is some conspiracy theory bs that you may as well just say "how about a nuclear war starts tomorrow" in which case owning stuff will matter even less lol.

What about owning nothing makes you think life will be no different than now if not better in the future?
What has you believing that a nuclear war will happen tomorrow or anytime in the near or distant future?
