They also needed to put a legal cap on data centers, how close to city limits they can be, slap water regulations on them etc. It all needed to be done right away... but none of that has happened. Some politicians have called for regulations and restrictions on AI but they're not the ones at the top of major governments. What if people rioted over the lack of regulations and restrictions for AI?
