100% of video games, other than a tiny few (likely indy) games that decide to make "no AI" a specific selling point, will be (and already are) utilizing generative AI in development. Every single one.

AI is here. It is now being used for everything. The store you bought your console or PC at is using it. The manufacturers of your gaming devices use it. The restaurant you ate lunch at is using it. Everyone needs to come to terms with this reality.

I would come to terms with it if it didn't mean the future was gonna suck harder than I thought it would.

How will companies even stay in business when nobody has employment to afford anything? How will we have fruits and vegetables when our farmland is taken up by data centers? How will we have WATER when all of it goes to data centers?

You want us to come to terms with a future that's unlivable for any of us? Then go ahead, and tell future generations that humanity is useless because that's just how the future will be. Oh wait, you can't, because we'll starve before we can ever have new generations of humans.

If there are any feasible realistic ways AI can do GOOD for the world, like stopping forest fires, reducing garbage, or lower ocean temperatures to what they should be, then prove it.
