Will we get a compromise from the companies that all their 80$ games won't have DLC, microtransactions, or any other kind of extra monetization? If not, they can fuck off.
We've been suffering a consistent devaluation of games for decades now. Less content for more money, and all the old content ransomed through other means, not to mention predatory tactics meant to turn players into constantly pay money. At some point, these big publishers will find a price many simply won't be willing to pay. Hell, the younger generations have grown on free to play, mobile/browser gaming and Steam sales, and are arriving into a weakening economy. How many will be willing to pay 80$ + DLC for each game, not to mention the initial hardware cost? How many will be able to?
