i mean thats a pretty superficial way to look at things. have you ever stopped for a second to consider that some of those release dates maybe were more a result of strategic timing as opposed to straight development times? no you probably didnt think that at all. all you did was look at the numbers with no attempt at interpretation at all. i predict the next zelda will come in 2028.

Bro, it’s a nearly 30 year trend without single outlier, use some common sense.

But yeah you’re totally right, over the last 30 years Nintendo strategically decided to make Zelda games take longer to release, it has nothing to do with the fact as technology advances games require more time and manpower.

the strategy isnt to make them take longer to release, the strategy is to release them at a specific time to maximize their impact. and that directly applies to two of the games you listed. to acknowledge that does not mean you have to say games in general do not take longer to release due to more time and manpower, but some of this is mitigated by more revenue from the sales of games and more resources able to be allocated to it. its not a complete wash, so development times are indeed longer in general because of the reason you stated, but its not the only factor at play here when attempting to explain gaps between releases. i know you might want it to be, but that doesnt make it true my man
