I signed up for an epic JRPG adventure, not endless shitty minigames and filler. The tropical resort chapter was just so awful I just couldn't take it any more and quit. It's a shame cos there's a genuinely good game in there, but its buried beneath layers of rubbish.

Oh my ... The filler/mini games that were expanded in this version really are this invasive to the overall experience ?

Considering the original paved the way for such in JRPG, makes it weird to think they would force you head on into the padding ...

I guess your mileage may vary and maybe JRPG fans love this stuff, but for me, being forced to play annoying minigames at a tourist resort to win tickets to buy a swimsuit so I can go to the beach is not what I want out of an epic world-saving RPG adventure.

The game just kept forcing me to play dumb minigames and wade through long sections of tedious filler, and I just don't have the patience for all that when my gaming time is limited and I have so many other countless games I could be playing instead.
