Yes there's already people complaining because the main character in Laufey is a woman etc, etc but it's God of War at the end of the day, they just need to make a trailer teasing Faye meeting the Greek Gods to sell the game.

Intergalactic on the other hand is a new IP, the most expensive ND game yet and because Sony had the great idea of revealing the game in a show that most people watch to hate the first impression was kind of a disaster. When they decide to show Intergalactic gameplay, Intergalactic has to be THE THING of the show, in this show it would have been #3 after Wolverine and Laufey. That's why September always made the most sense and now even more.

We could still see it this week as part of the summer Games Fest. As far as showstopper GOW is a bigger announcement for now because it is "new" and a loved franchise. Intergalatic and any new IP will always have a more uphill battle proving its worth. Essentially it makes sense that GOW was that "moment" from the SOP as opposed to an update from Intergalatic.
