I think it makes sense really, Playstation has spent the last 20 years cultivating an audience for these kind of blockbuster releases, whereas the Nintendo audience has largely had to learn to do without them.

The PS5 base is also still larger than Switch 2's.

Many people have been saying for years the PS5 software sales are garbage and that proves the PS5 has been exported in mass from Japan and that Japan PS5 hardware sales are actually lower. Yet here we have a game with no brand attachment with over double the attach rate on PS5 than Switch 2.
