Five (and counting) of the nine acts originally scheduled to perform at the Freedom 250 concerts have now pulled out.
- Young MC
- Fabrice Morvan (Milli Vanilli)
- Morris Day and the Time
- The Commodores
- Martina McBride, who has spent her entire career as an advocate for DV victims, is the latest to withdraw. In her statement, she said that she had accepted the invitation because she thought it would be a non-partisan event celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Instead, it's apparently just a MAGA/Trump rally on steroids.
So that only leaves Vanilla Ice, Bret Michaels, Flo Rida, and C+C Music Factory as performers. I guess they'll have to bring out Kid Rock and Ted Nugent again.
EDIT: It looks like C+C Music Factory are backing out now.
EDIT 2: Michaels just announced he's pulling out. Now it's just Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice.
