I have a lot of interest in using Artificial Intelligence for NPCs in RPGs and such a thing.
I purchased a game called "AI2U: With you till the end" at Early Access on Steam, and while there's A LOT of room to improve, I can see this is the right way to go. There's just a lot of options for dialogue and actions with the characters, and some of them managed to impress me.
Also, it looks much better than some still unreleased games like Dead Meat. To be honest, Dead Meat is being showcased by NVIDIA as a revolution in AI content for gaming, but AI2U impressed me way, way more.
Give it a couple more generations and we may have NPCs interacting freely with the world and the characters in RPGs. It could also be a revolution in Adventure games.
