In retrospect, SNY should've went with an 8TF PS5 (Which I kinda think they maybe initially planned on based on the PS4/Pro and PS5 Pro TF's)
Could've launched the disc model at $399 again like PS4 and the Digital at $349. Probably would've sold millions more consoles by the time the pandemic restrictions lifted and could've been much closer to 100M sales by now, since it would be $100 cheaper than it is now.
PS1 - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.
PS2 - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.
PS3 - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.
PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
PRO -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.
PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
