| Slownenberg said: I dunno, I mean the first new system under Furukawa's leadership is overpriced and so far in a year has massively underdelivered in terms of games, the complete opposite of the Switch's first year. Nintendo seems to have lost its way in their core market (games) and their respect for their customers. I love the movies they are coming out with but the Switch 2 is a big disappointment so far (maybe they'll turn it around but doesn't look good), and has so far only sold based on hype of being the successor to the final system developed before Furukawa took over. Literally don't know anything about the two men, but it'd be hard to say Nintendo's leadership is good at this moment given the lack of being prepared to start a new gen despite the Switch's longest lifecycle ever, and the horrible pricing on top of that. Not a good look for the first system released under him. |
$450 isn't really "overpriced" when the console standard has been $500 since 2020 (and has risen since) and most similar handhelds cost significantly more.
