I too will not deal with another Adventures. I hate that game with a burning passion. I absolutely do not want to see foot missions in my Star Fox games.

However, I'm willing to make an exception if the any on-foot sections were akin to the gameplay of Sin & Punishment, which shares a lot in common with the on-rails stages of Star Fox 64.

That's a good idea if it is well implemented ofc, but being against on anything new just for the sake of traditionalism is counter productive. Theres not much to do with the franchise by doing only the same old stuff from decades ago

Adventures hate, for me, is reasonable for its poor attempt to slap StarFox name on it by adding some bland and mediocre arwing sections in between a game that has nothing to do with the franchise thematic

StarFox has a lot of potential by adding new elements to look forward. Trying free roaming (not only on-foot, but with the ships too) in a few levels as long it maintains (and evolves) what was good on StarFox 64 as a primordial element of the whole experience, then it would be hard to people hate on it.

I'm open to innovation within Star Fox. I just want it to go in the right direction. Adding gameplay that completely changes the genre of game is not the right direction.

I love what Nintendo tried to do with the for-decades-unreleased Star Fox 2; that game was trying so hard to punch above its weight on the SNES, bringing that poor console to its knees to handle 3D stages on a 16-bit console. That game would be a solid blueprint on where to start on the next Star Fox game (Lord please let there be a new and original Star Fox game after this fourth reboot/remake).
