If the PS6 comes out in 2028 I'd like to see a more powerful version released in 2030, 2032 and 2034 before releasing a PS7 in 2036. Too much hardware too fast. They want the min hardware they have to make while at least keeping their existing userbase. If it doesn't grow then so be it, but I can only see them attempting what you're asking for if they know it'll grow the userbase considerably. I personally don't think it would.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
