Because no one can make a sane case for that. If the Switch 1 had even one price cut it could pass 160 mill easily. EASILY. Everyone knows this too. In virtually any other console generation (Gen 1, gen 2, gen 3, gen 4, gen 5, whatever) the Switch 1 would be $249.99 for the base model, $299.99 for OLED, and $169.99 for the Lite at least and that's still a modest price cut compared to other platforms often being 1/3 to 1/2 the cost by the late stages of their product cycle.

Cope.

If Switch sold 2 years less as a major console it would sell a lot less. If the 6th gen continued 2 more years that console would do higher numbers. If there was no pandemic Switch would have sold less. If Lite wasn't released Switch would sold less. Should I continue ? There is endless possibilities with the "if".

It's not cope, even a $50 price drop would demolish 160 easy, everyone including you knows it. Even as is, it will cross 160 if Nintendo lets it continue production, the demand is sufficient to get there and there is no budget options available to parents at all.
