Oof! I just realized that, yeah, the gap between 2017 and 2022 will be the same as that between 2022 and 2027… which is next year.

Also, on the note of 2017-2022/2022-2027, I wonder when we’ll be hearing from Platinum Games again… specifically for Bayo4, AstralC2, or something wholly original.

Yeah Splatoon Raiders is arriving this year 4 years after Splatoon 3, and Monolith Soft's next game should be arriving next year sometime as it'll be 5 years then since Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The next Zelda will take a bit longer I expect, as even BOTW and TOTK took around 6 years and this time they'll be making a generational jump in tech, so I expect the next mainline Zelda around 2030.

On the other hand, Next Level Games released their last game in 2022 so we should be due for Luigi's Mansion 4 soon...
