From my limited perspective, the broad general public is completely aware of it or has interact with the franchise in some capacity even in this day n age through the games, the cards or the mobile apps.
Arguably, adults are it's core public but they definitely do manage to maintain a healthy young base of players or people into it from a young age.
It renews itself continuously which help in turn the aging demographic that might actively quit at some point.
So 50/50 it is to me
