I imagine it will be mostly faithful, with a lot of QoL adjustments. The main addition to this game seems to be a stronger focus on the story and characters.

Good point, I could see the story in Ocarina being extended and built out.  

Side note (not directed at you) but I am getting more ok with the price, still think it is too high, but the game has multiple routes, is built for multiple plays and the added challenges means the game has some legs.
