Sure, it isn't good, but 99% of us would never have known, had they not said it out loud.  

This is true but we can still push back against practices which spell future red flags for digital ownership & games preservation. For me personally there is a zero % chance of this being an issue lol and if it was, access to my playstation games would probably be the least of my worries... 

but still I don't like that a digital purchase now comes with a constant requirement of internet connection, these 2 things should be separate. I'm sure they should be ways to tie a download to an account at purchase without constantly needing to check the internet
