For the anti-monopolistic/conglomerate people out there, oh boy, this is bound to turn some heads.

Apparently, David Ellison walked into David Zaslav’s office, plopped down some money and swiped the company without his say. And Zaslav was apparently legally obligated to entertain bids to buy the company and couldn’t decline all because Ellison dangled some money in his face. 

Now we know why Ellison and Co. were acting like fucking babies when Netflix tried to buy them, basically throwing their toys around because they didn’t get their way (until they did), even sued them to try and stop their deal from going through. Once Ellison got the ball rolling, he couldn’t lose out under any circumstances.
