Its going to happen, not sure why everyone on this forum keeps trying to compare NS1 to past Nintendo consoles and thinking it must follow in it's footsteps. NS1 will easily do more than 1 million alone in Japan this year. Why would Nintendo just stop production? It's a cheap way to Nintendo game, theres still a nice demand for it all over the world, higher than Xbox in every region (and Microsoft is still producing series x) and in Japan NS1 is always above PS5. |
Rhythm Heaven Groove is coming in July, so Tomodachi's definitely not the last.
While I do think it would be a good idea to keep Switch 1 alive for years to come as an entry level system for lower income customers, Nintendo may choose to kill it off to move people on to Switch 2, or to free up production capacity for making more of Switch 2.
The system could keep rolling for years to come, but whether Nintendo will allow that remains to be seen.
