The fact the Switch 1 will sell at or close to 1 million in Japan this year, and Worldwide being at least 2 million this system won't get discontinued until 2028 at the earliest. With PS and Xbox prices being so high the Switch 1 family are the cheapest modern consoles you can buy so it makes sense it still sells. Remember the 3DS sold an additional 10 million after the Switch released before it was discontinued due to it's low price.
