For some reason, highframes in some genre expose the technicial flaws easier than 30fps. Materials and physics will often look fine on 30fps, then you switch to 60fps and suddenly everything feels like it's made out of cardboard lol. Perceptions...

40fps is a good compromise, I find.

It's noticeably smoother than 30 while not requiring as many sacrifices as 60.

In some games, I can see myself preferring 40fps even if the 60fps mode retains the same settings!
