So I posted this because I'm trying to see how much of difference in reaction there is to 30fps and it's appearance when it's:

1: Not labeled 30fps

2: Not contrasted against 60fps in a toggle or comparison.

In my experience perception of frame rate is very plastic and bendable. I was surprised just by how smooth this looked to my eyes. The context is I'm on YouTube and just scrolling through other 30fps content.

I noticed none of the comments mentioned the fps either, or complain it was the quality mode, which is something I tend to see when 30fps is clearly stated.

A few things like excellent motion blur also help smoothness. FFVII Rebirth had no camera blur and I found it looked comparatively choppy changing camera angles.

This then takes things to a broader topic of genre, how much camera panning is involved in the gameplay? The more there is sudden camera shifts under the input of the player, the more frame rate can frustrate

I still haven't voted, but earlier I actually wrote a post that was touching the framerate subject as well, as well as YouTube quality. It was a fairly positive assessment of the situation, considering the limitations, but I wasn't really happy with the post overall, especially because of the limitations that might make it harder to do the game justice, so I scrapped the post.

One interesting thing about the video is that things are really smooth where it matters, but if you look at the sides, the motion looks kind of uncanny.
