My guess as to the (relatively speaking) lower NS2 sales is likely because NS1 is sucking up some of NS2’s market, being that the next big new Nintendo release is a Switch 1 title. It’ll be very interesting to see how NS1 & NS2 sales figures will be impacted by a game as massive (in JP) as Tomodachi Life.

That would be strange to me since the Switch 2 can play it as well and is a way better value purchase. I looked at how the 3DS was boosted from the last Tomodachi Life and it did get one but not that much despite coming out early in its life so I'm not expecting that significant of a boost either way.
