But I could also be Devil's Advocate and say that DK already had a huge role in the Mario universe, so no one batted an eye. That's like Harry Osborne being in a Spider-Man movie. With Star Fox, that was way more deliberate. That was akin to Nick Fury appearing in Marvel movies to set up the Avengers or Black Panther appearing in one of them to introduce audiences to him and hype his own movie later. It feels like it would be a waste to not doing something with the Star Fox IP now, unless his role was to plant the seeds for an SSB-style movie down the line of a shared Nintendo universe. |
It would be nice, but like I said before, Nintendo just isn't that generous. Last time they gave us a new Star Fox it had the worst control scheme in the franchise and killed the franchise.
