I used to stay up til the am hours when I was younger, but as I get older I find I need my full 8 hours sleep, and it takes me hours of lying in bed to drop off (thanks ADHD brain) so I need to be in bed by around 10pm if I wanna be asleep by midnight and get 8 hours without sleeping in too much.
I'm also on some pretty powerful meds for anxiety and the ones I take at night make me drowsy.
