If it is indeed a rail shooter like the SNES/64 games then I can see 120fps being on the table. At the same time though, they may want to cap at 60fps so they can dedicate more power to great graphics and spectacle, like those games provided back in their day.
So far, of Nintendo's first party titles, only Prime 4 has supported 120fps, with the rest being 60fps. I'm not super sensitive to the difference so it doesn't reallty bother me.
