Out of curiosity, is there anyone who doesn't want a transformational remake, in the vein of Metroid: Zero Mission or Resident Evil (2002)? To me, these types of remakes — the ones that approach the original material from a different angle and don't simply recreate the artistic assets — are the most interesting and essential.

Me personally, I’m fine either way. I lean toward it being more like a transformative remake given that OoT 3D already exists, and Nintendo is not known to revisit ideas for a second time. If they wanted a visually boosted OoT, I feel like they’d sooner port the 3DS version with boosted graphics.

But my 14yo-self would be going ballistic at the thought of a 3DS-style remake… having a masterpiece now reimagined with a modern coat of graphical paint just sounds so interesting.
