The second blows the original out of the water IMO. I didn’t care for the OG, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. There was like actual character development and story elements which really shift my perspective on the overall Mario universe. Granted, it was mostly surface-level, but that’s a whole lot more than I can say about the OG, which left me feeling next to nothing.
