What's the best mainline Resident Evil game, (not including remakes) and why?

They only problem is the tank controls.

If it's not a problem to you, those games are amazing, their atmosphere is great and going through them as well, aging has not taken anything away from them, IMO.

I agree with both of you.  The tank controls are required for those games to work, but I can't do them anymore.  Kudos to those who can.
