This graphics engine enhanced for Switch 2 (think Switch 2 can run this with ease)

Basically honestly I wouldn't mind what FF7 Remake did for FF7 done for Ocarina of Time.

A few new dungeons and story elements so it isn't so predictable, much more robust Hyrule Field.

The Switch 2 needs this to be a big seller IMO.

They already did a plain refresh of the first game in OoT 3D, there's no point in just doing that again and it won't sell Switch 2 systems. They need to aim bigger with this, I think they know that. The Switch 2 not having a new Zelda game early in the life cycle was always going to be a big disadvantage for it versus Switch 1, a big budget/big scale OoT remake is the closest thing in impact you could get to a brand new Zelda game.

Man… just thinking of an OoT remake as filling role of the big 3D Zelda release for Switch 2. The potential for something massive is there! I gotta keep expectations in check though— the Zelda fan in me says to expect a FFVII-style remake, but the realist is saying to expect no more than a remake in the style of the 3DS remake. Don’t wanna be disappointed here.

Yeah I get people not wanting to get their expectation up, but from Nintendo's POV if you're looking at the Switch 2 launch software crop for the first 1 1/2 years ... like Mario Kart World is great but they had to know not having a Mario platformer and a new Zelda would be a significant disadvantage for Switch 1.

I think a big remake of OoT makes a lot of sense, it would also tie in with the live action Zelda movie coming in spring 2027 too.
