Your console is at home, your phone is with you and half the population on this planet feels the need to show people around them what they own.
Most don't need the expensive iPhones or cars and they are also above their budget (my brother sees that every day working at Audi when people come for a few k car repair and can barely afford it while the car was like 100k lol)
There's a reason why so many people buy fake Versace or Balenciaga (for every real Balenciaga you probably see 10 people with a fake one here in Europe at least)
The PS just sits at home and only a few people will ever see it. That alone is a reason why people don't see the worth in it but they see it in an iPhone Pro Max while they just use it to scroll threw Tik Tok at McDonald's
