This will definitely answer the question as to why I wasn’t all too disappointed: I’ve only played Metroid Prime Remastered, and not even half the game. I’ve never played Metroid Prime games, so I wasn’t too informed on what to expect. I can definitely tell that it is a drastically different experience from Prime 1, but TBH I don’t mind it all too much. I 100% prefer Prime 1 to Prime 4 no doubt, but that doesn’t mean I find the game bad.

Thanks for your answers, Firebush and Curl! I guess the enjoyment one has when playing Metroid Prime 4 depends a lot on what you expect and want out of the game.

As for me, my ranking of the Prime games unfortunately is 1 > 2 > 3 > 4. I was really craving an experience similar to Prime 1 and 2, which is why I went away disappointed with the latest entry.
