Mochizuki's not the most reliable source, as his track record is a mixed bag, so I'd take this with a grain of salt.
Last year in October he claimed Nintrendo were making 25 million Switch 2s by this March, (www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-17/nintendo-switch-2-production-plan-25-million-units-by-march-2026) despite their forecast being nowhere near that, so this could be him attempting to explain what happened to those 5 million or so extra Switch 2s he claimed were coming.
