[Weekly Software & Hardware Sales] "Pokoa Pokemon" tops the charts with over 2.2 million units sold worldwide! "Resident Evil Requiem" also performs well, with additional DLC information released [March 2-8]
Famitsu's sales rankings. This time, we bring you a summary of estimated weekly sales figures for game software and hardware from March 2nd to March 8th, 2026 in Japan.
Ditto transforms into a human and builds a new life with Pokémon. It is the Pokémon series first slow-life sandbox game and (According to the manufacturer) has exceeded worldwide sales of 2.2 million units within four days of its release. Sales in Japan including the download version also exceeded 1 million units, making it a spectacular start at the top of the charts.
Coming in second and fifth place are last week's top-ranked game Resident Evil: Requiem. Information has also been released about the implementation of a photo mode, the addition of mini-games and the development of DLC for additional story content, so it seems likely that sales will continue to grow.
From third place onwards there are a number of titles that are regulars in the top 10, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, both the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions ranked in the top 10.
