Switch Lite will be around for years... The DRAM and NAND crunch will decimate component prices once contracts need to be renegotiated, the lite will be Nintendo's backup plan to keep shifting hardware.

That and the era of abandoning a console platform as soon as it's successor releases is no longer a thing... Especially when that platform is at 155~ million hardware units, that's a very big mass-appeal.

The Lite is with us for years to come.

We don't know that for sure at this point; it is certainly possible that Nintendo may try to keep Switch 1 in production longer, or they may simply cut it off.

Either way, it will not be getting Nintendo's flagship games going forwards like the next 3D Mario, 3D Zelda, etc, so while it offers an excellent legacy library, if you're interested in playing new games over the coming years, then Switch 2 offers vastly superior value with which Lite just can't compete.

Correct. We don't know for sure... And that also applies to your assertion about other flagships like Mario or Zelda.

But we do know that... It's been 9 months since the Switch 2 released and Nintendo still hasn't discontinued the Switch Lite, Switch LCD or Switch OLED or even indicated a cessation in production.

And we also know that Nintendo is still releasing games for the Switch Lite, Switch LCD and Switch OLED.
We just got Pokemon Z-A and we just got Metroid Prime 4.
