But as it's the series anniversary I guess they wanted to announce it now.

TC confirmed it is still early in development, which to me means they started it in 2025 because of the 20th anniverssary.

I see zero possibility it comes before 2028, and personally I don't see it releasing even in 2028, thus my prediction in the OP.

Regardless, I want the best game they can make, so time is the least of the worries, because if they do deliver what I hope they do, that's going to be one of the most exciting games ever.
