Depends how into the Xbox ecosystem you end up. Yes, Series X is the most powerful Xbox to date and has 2 generations of games plus the same backwards compatibility of Xbox One. But Series X is crazy overpriced now in most regions and harder to find. And having a PS5 makes one very redundant for a lot of games. See how you enjoy the Xbox 360 and see after if a One S or One X is worth it (maybe a "VCR" One if you get it dirt cheap in good condition). Series seems like a tough sell at this point even for Series S. And the achievements might have trouble syncing to your account if you can't connect online. Every one of my achievements on Xbox 360 (both natively on the console and 360 games on Xbox One) have synced to my Xbox account. However, 2-step verification and errors from the old 360 infrastructure make connecting to online a pain for myself and many players. The last time I booted up my 360 in late 2025, it refused to connect to Xbox Live. And that's at least the second time, if not the third. As for some games you can't play on later Xbox consoles -SoulCalibur IV and V -Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4 About half of the original Xbox games are playable on Xbox 360. But by comparison only about 6% of original Xbox games are playable on Xbox One. |
Yeah, even used shaddy Series X here are usually more expensive than a brand new PS5 during promotions.
The Series X is not officially sold or produced here since 2023.
The thing is, by owning a 360 the One becomes redundant if I ever get a Series tho, as I can run OG and 360 on the 360, and One and Series on Series.
