Edit—Ah, it seems people aren’t convinced by he Xenoblade 4 leak. Not even finding it on ResetEra. Well, that’s refreshing at the very least.

I now want that to be true and hereby will be very disappointed and blame Nintendo for it if it doesn't happen.

But what would the story be like in Xenoblade Chronicles 4? The franchise has already explored the themes of mortality vs immortality, racism, whether living weapons should have civil rights, interplanetary war, destiny and bioweapons. I don't know what other themes the series can implement.
