How satisfied was the general public with Wii?

I feel like this impression is the result of the "hardcore" gamer echo chamber that exists in online spaces.

Those of us who attend gaming forums are less than 1% of the total audience and tend to lean towards enthusiasts who care more about stuff like graphics and as such are more likely to be negative towards a less powerful system that targeted a more "casual" audience.

I own 52 Wii games myself, terrific console IMO.
