I'm autistic as well. Despite the fact that I can sometimes communicate better in texts, messages, and chatting it still is sometimes more awkward than non-autistic people. 

And as to the OP, I do my best to be nice as well. Internet boards and social media are an easy place to be rude, and I do my best to control that. But on the politics boards here for instance, I will use harsh words for the politicians and ideologies I despise. And while I won't instantly call people who agree with some of that bad, I also won't hold their hand and "have a beer" with them by default.
