Sega was a video game corporation primarily for a while. Sega went from two home consoles that got second place globally to eventually the Dreamcast which was discontinued several months before GameCube and Xbox. Dreamcast did a lot right, but the damage was done.
Xbox is a division of Microsoft and pretty much a brand/division of Microsoft Gaming now. Xbox Game Pass is more relevant right now than Sega ever was.
