FF7 Remake apparently off to a strong start on Switch 2

The most recent PlayStation in my household is a PS3 which I haven’t touched since the era of Assassin’s Creed 2. Switch 2 is the first gaming console I’ve owned this game has come out on.

But just think about it from a logical and statistical standpoint: the game previously had 7 million sales, that’s quite a bit lower than the total number of people who  own a Switch 2, and in all likelihood. It’s even less likely when you factor in that all FF7 owners are not Switch 2 owners.

OG FFVII sold 15 million, Remake sold 7 million...  looks of potential buyers.
