What's Nintendo's best controller to date, and why?

Then that it was the herald of the Nintendo Switch. 

It had some attractive features though. 

For me it was a brick (given that wii u is only home console) and pretty much was the wii 's successor Achilles heel. 

I mean, is it really recency bias when the Wii U was replaced nearly a decade ago?

Switch 1 Pro controller is more recent but has fewer votes.
